Focusing on girls mentorship and community service in County programs

In Solano County, a variety of initiatives are actively promoting women empowerment through girls mentorship and community service.

The IMANI Sisterhood Program at Solano Community College offers mentoring, workshops, and resources to support Black female students, aiming to decrease equity gaps and foster academic success.

Similarly, the Puente Project provides mentorship and educational support to students, encouraging leadership and community engagement.

Organizations like Girls on the Run North Bay have reached over 19,000 local participants, helping them develop into confident, resilient leaders through programs that combine physical activity with essential mental health tools.

Additionally, the Victims Empowerment Support Team (VEST) offers comprehensive support services to victims of domestic violence, aiming to minimize violence and improve quality of life through education, support, advocacy, and empowerment.
